To recognize the importance of our research professionals to the success of the RQMP, direction has created the RQMP Research Staff Award. Their place in the research ecosystem is crucial! They train the next generation, are experts in their field, manage instrumental platforms and/or projects, and more.

This award is presented upon application and after selection by a committee of RQMP professors, taking into account the scientific excellence of the candidates and their impact on the RQMP.

On May 23, 2025, Patricia Moraille received the first Research Staff Award, 2025 edition, at the RQMP Grand Conference. Patricia is managing the Materials Characterization Laboratory at the Université de Montréal. This award recognizes the exceptional quality of her work, her commitment, and her significant contribution to the success of the RQMP through student training, participation in members’ research projects, the execution of industrial contracts, and management of the RQMP’s shared platform, the “Materials Characterization Laboratory.”
