FQMA 2025

The Quebec Forum on Advanced Materials (FQMA) is back for a second edition!

The CQMF, the RQMP and PRIMA Québec (with the help of CERMA) invite you to join us on May 1 and 2, 2025 at the Université de Montréal for this unique event, aimed at bringing together all the players in the advanced materials Quebec ecosystem. This edition will focus on Materials for the society of tomorrow.

On the program:

  • Two plenary lectures by Normand Mousseau (Professor of Physics at the Université de Montréal, Scientific Director of the Institut de l’énergie Trottier, Scientific Co-Director of the Energy Modeling Hub) and Alain Webster (Professor of Environmental Economics at the CUFE School of the University of Sherbrooke, President of the Climate Change Advisory Committee of the Government of Quebec).
  • Two panel discussions on The Challenges of Building a Sustainable Society through Materials, and the Impact of Materials Innovations in Society.
  • The presentation of 4 innovative start-ups in advanced materials.
  • Industrial challenges and valuable academic projects.
  • Research projects in materials for a sustainable society (call for abstracts).
  • A session to connect the circular economy needs (on call for abstracts).

We will have the honour of welcoming Rémi Quirion (Chief Scientist of Quebec) and Janice Bailey (Scientific Director of the FRQ’s Nature and Technology Sector), who support the FQMA and its collaborative and community-based vision.
