Indeed, he was among the first 10 members at the time of the birth of the GCM in 1984. Subsequently, he was the director of the Materials Surface Analysis Laboratory (LASM \u2013 Polytechnique). He has contributed significantly to the advancement of expertise in surface and interface analysis, particularly through XPS, TOF-SIMS, AES, photo-acoustic FTIR and others. His research focused, among other things, on the adhesion of metallic layers on polymeric substrates, the fabrication of metallic nanoparticles and their interaction as well as with graphene; this in the context of applications such as magnetic data storage or even in biomedicine. He published articles and helped write grant applications until the end of his life.
